How it works

Everything an invoice needs, nothing it does not

From the first line to the money in your account, Invoices keeps it simple for you and easy for the people paying you.

Paid into your own account

Clients pay online by card through Lemonade Payments, straight into your own payment account, and the invoice marks itself paid.

Polite reminders, sent for you

Tick one box and a client who has not paid gets a friendly nudge, at most three times. Reminders stop the moment the invoice is paid.

Always know where it stands

Draft, Sent, Viewed, Overdue, Paid. See when a client has opened an invoice, mark one paid by bank transfer or cash, void a mistake, or copy one for the next job.

Recurring, on the paid plan

Monthly retainers, weekly lessons, yearly maintenance. Set it once and a fresh invoice goes out every period, or waits as a draft for you to check.

Quick answers

What people ask about Invoices

What does Invoices cost?

Three invoices a month are free, with a small Made with Lemonade Host line. The paid plan is $2.99 a month per site billed yearly, or $3.99 month to month, for unlimited invoices, recurring invoices and no branding. Drafts are always free.

Where does the money go?

Straight into your own payment account, in your name, through Lemonade Payments. The invoice marks itself paid.

Does my client need an account?

No. They open the invoice from the email or a link you send, and pay by card on a clean page. They can also print it or save it as a PDF.

What if a client pays by bank transfer or cash?

Mark the invoice as paid and choose how they paid: bank transfer, cash, cheque, a card taken elsewhere or something else. It stays in your list with everything else.

What do I need before I can send?

Lemonade Payments connected on the site, which needs your site published and live on a domain of your own. You can write drafts any time before that.

Which currencies can I invoice in?

US dollars, pounds sterling, euros, Canadian dollars and Australian dollars.

How do recurring invoices work?

On the paid plan, set how often, the date of the first invoice and when to stop, if ever. Each period makes one new invoice, sent for you or left as a draft for you to check first.

Spend less time chasing money.

Write it, send it, get paid into your own account. Three invoices a month are free on every site.
